Author Guidelines
Authors wishing to submit manuscripts to SPECTRA COMMUNITY SERVICES: Journal of Community Services and Social Development are required to follow the submission and formatting guidelines provided below. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the editorial screening stage (desk rejection).
1. File Format
Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) using the official journal template.
2. Language
Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript uses clear, appropriate, and grammatically correct language.
3. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally contain the following sections:
Title
The title should be concise, specific, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should provide a brief and clear summary of the manuscript, including the background or purpose, methods or implementation approach, main results, and conclusion. The abstract should contain 200–250 words and be followed by 3–5 keywords. The abstract should be written in English and Indonesian, where applicable.
Introduction
The introduction should describe the background and significance of the community service activity, relevant literature, the problems or needs addressed, and the objectives of the activity. The specific contribution, innovation, or novelty of the program should be clearly stated.
Methods
This section should explain the methods, approaches, procedures, participants or target communities, location, implementation stages, instruments, and evaluation methods used in the community service activity.
Results and Discussion
This section should present the results of the activities and provide a comprehensive discussion of the outcomes, achievements, challenges, and impacts. Relevant data, tables, figures, or other supporting evidence may be included.
Conclusion
The conclusion should summarize the main outcomes and contributions of the community service activity and, where appropriate, provide recommendations for future implementation or development.
References
References should include only sources cited in the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to use relevant, recent, and credible scholarly sources.
4. Citation and Reference Style
Citations and references must follow the APA Style 7th Edition. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure consistency and accuracy in citation and bibliography formatting.
5. Journal Template
Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official SPECTRA COMMUNITY SERVICES journal template. The template can be downloaded from the journal's official website:
