Author Guidelines

Authors wishing to submit manuscripts to SPECTRA HEALTH: Journal of Health and Medical Sciences are required to follow the journal's submission and manuscript preparation guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the editorial screening stage (desk rejection).

1. File Format

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

2. Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear, academic, and grammatically correct English. Authors are responsible for ensuring the language quality of their manuscripts before submission.

3. Manuscript Structure

Research articles should generally follow the structure below:

1. Title

The title should be concise, specific, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations and overly broad statements.

2. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should be written in English and should not exceed 250 words. It should briefly and clearly present the research background or purpose, methods, main results, and conclusion.

Authors should provide 3–5 keywords that represent the main concepts of the manuscript.

3. Introduction

The Introduction should provide the background and rationale of the research, supported by relevant and recent literature. It should clearly identify the research problem, knowledge gap, and objectives of the study. The novelty and significance of the research should be clearly stated.

4. Methods

The Methods section should provide sufficient detail to allow the study to be understood and, where applicable, reproduced. It should describe the research design, setting, population or participants, sampling method, data collection procedures, instruments, variables, and data analysis techniques. Ethical approval and informed consent should be reported when applicable.

5. Results and Discussion

The Results section should present the findings clearly and systematically, using appropriate tables and figures where necessary.

The Discussion should interpret the findings in relation to previous research and relevant scientific literature. Authors should explain the significance of the findings, similarities or differences with previous studies, possible explanations, implications, and limitations of the study where appropriate.

6. Conclusion

The Conclusion should summarize the principal findings of the study and clearly address the research objectives. Relevant implications and recommendations may be included when appropriate. The conclusion should not simply repeat the Results section.

7. References

All references cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all references listed must be cited in the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to use relevant, recent, and authoritative sources.

4. Citation and Reference Style

All in-text citations and references must follow the APA 7th Edition style.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure consistency and accuracy in citations and bibliographic references.

5. Journal Template

Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official SPECTRA HEALTH Journal Template. The template should be followed carefully, including the required structure, formatting, headings, tables, figures, citations, and references.
