Author Guidelines

Authors who intend to submit manuscripts to SPECTRA are required to comply with the following formatting and submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not conform to these requirements may be returned to the authors without review (desk rejection).

General Requirements

Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) and written in clear and appropriate English or Indonesian. Authors are expected to ensure proper grammar, clarity, and academic writing standards.

Manuscript Structure

Research articles submitted to SPECTRA should generally be organized into the following sections:

  1. Title
    The title should be concise, specific, and clearly reflect the content of the manuscript.
  2. Abstract and Keywords
    The abstract must be written in English (and in Indonesian if required), with a maximum length of 200–250 words. It should briefly describe the research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. The abstract must be followed by 3–5 relevant keywords.
  3. Introduction
    This section should present the research background, a brief review of related literature, and clearly state the research objectives, including the novelty of the study.
  4. Methods
    Authors must provide a clear and detailed explanation of the research design, procedures, and analytical methods used.
  5. Results and Discussion
    This section should present the findings of the study along with a comprehensive analysis and discussion that highlights their significance.
  6. Conclusion
    The conclusion should summarize the key findings and outline their implications.
  7. References
    All references cited in the text must be listed in this section. Authors should ensure the accuracy and completeness of all citations.

Citation Style

All citations and references must follow the IEEE or APA 7th Edition style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
