Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to SPECTRA undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of published articles.
1. Initial Evaluation (Desk Review)
Each submission is first assessed by the editorial team to determine its suitability for the journal. This stage includes checking the manuscript’s alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, and an initial plagiarism screening. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be rejected at this stage without further review.
2. Review Process (Double-Blind Peer Review)
Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation will be forwarded to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. SPECTRA applies a double-blind peer review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure objectivity and fairness.
3. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:
- Accepted (without revision)
- Revisions Required (minor or major revisions)
- Rejected
Authors will be notified of the decision along with the reviewers’ feedback for further action.
4. Review Timeline
The review process, from initial submission to the first editorial decision, typically takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers and the quality of the submitted manuscript.
