Screening for Plagiarism Policy
Maintaining academic integrity is a fundamental principle of SPECTRA. The Editorial Board is committed to ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are original and free from any form of plagiarism.
- Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts undergo similarity checking using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent) during both the initial evaluation stage (prior to peer review) and the final stage before publication. - Similarity Threshold
The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20%. References, bibliography sections, and properly cited quotations are excluded from this calculation. - Actions on Detected Similarity
Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold will be returned to the authors for revision. In cases where significant or intentional plagiarism is identified, the manuscript will be rejected immediately without further consideration.
